Christmas lights competition creates wonderful community spectacle.
Melbourne – 14 December 2017 – The Christmas spirit is on full display at the growing Berwick Waters community, where the winners of the annual Christmas lights competition have just been announced.
The competition has become a happy tradition in the community and the decorations are getting bigger and brighter every year.
Jill Lim, Development Director, Frasers Property Australia says in addition to the 23 households who formally entered the competition, many residents throughout the community have decorated their homes to celebrate the festive spirit.
“On any given night you’ll see lots of residents, visitors and their families walking or driving past all the lit up houses enjoying the spectacle,” says Ms Lim.
The Christmas lights competition is now in its fourth year, and each time there are more new homeowners vying for the $1000 first prize and $500 runner up prizes.
“It was an even competition this year and it’s always hard to pick the winners, with such amazing displays including a video of Santa opening letters, a creative setup depicting Santa arriving down a runway, and a nativity scene over a haystack,” says Ms Lim.
