Brookhaven hosts the first of many community events
BRISBANE, 17 JULY 2018Frasers Property Australia’s masterplanned community Brookhaven at Bahrs Scrub has welcomed over 500 people to its Family Fun Day where guests saw the unveiling of the new Haven Park.
The fun day showcased the recent completion of the spectacular parkland precinct and its wealth of facilities, and concluded with a screening of the animated movie ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ in keeping with the park’s dog-friendly status.
Haven Park is an active parkland comprising separate playgrounds for 4-plus and 8-plus age groups, green kickabout spaces, picnic structures, fitness equipment, a half-court basketball court, retained nature play areas and an informal amphitheatre.
Frasers Property Residential Queensland General Manager Cameron Leggatt said he was delighted to see Haven Park brought to life after months of preparation, planning and innovative design by the Frasers Property team.
“We owe the success of the event to the versatility of Haven Park, which offers something for everyone and provides a wonderful recreational, social and environmental asset for Brookhaven and the surrounding community.
“As was intended for the family fun day, Haven Park was thoughtfully designed to bring residents together and encourage an active and healthy way of living, providing space for exercise, games, relaxation and social get-togethers,” he said.
A feature of the fun day involved families bringing their pets to enjoy the dog show while the event was entertained by face painters, a caricaturist, side show alley and a community barbecue, winding down the big day with the screening of ‘The Secret Life of Pets’.
Located just south of the Beenleigh CBD and 5.4km from the M1 Motorway, Brookhaven will comprise detached housing lots, a village retail centre and various parks and green spaces.
Land is selling at Brookhaven from $170,000 in the Hillside Release.
