Relaxed weeknight sales vibe eases burden on buyers’ busy weekends
- Mambourin Discovery Centre opens 6pm until 9pm one weeknight each month
- One builder showcased each month offering buyer incentives
- Next builder showcase is Metricon HomeSolution on 20 August
MELBOURNE, 24 JULY 2019
Once a month, Frasers Property sales staff at Mambourin are keeping the doors open late and serving up drinks and finger food to offer property buyers an alternative to the mad weekend rush.
The late-night property shop, where the Mambourin sales office is open from 6pm until 9pm one weekday a month, will run until the end of the year. Frasers Property hopes the initiative will prove so popular it could extend to other sales offices around Australia.
Builders are also partnering in the initiative, with a different builder each time showcasing what it has to offer buyers at Mambourin. So far, Home Buyers Centre, Metricon and Simonds have taken part in the open evenings with future dates locked in with Metricon HomeSolution (20 August), Strive Homes (17 September) and Porter Davis (15 October).
“The idea has been really well received so far,” says Sarah Bloom, General Manager – Residential Victoria, Frasers Property Australia.
“Potential buyers have been able to come in and talk to our staff when they are feeling less rushed, which is how they often feel on weekends.
“We are seeing a changing trend with buyers on weekends. Many people now work and those with families often have different commitments. So weekends are not necessarily the best time for people to be considering big purchases such as buying property.
“What has been good about these nights is that buyers are not feeling pressured to get to the next sales appointment, they can really take their time, ask a lot of questions and get to know us better. We value the chance to build that relationship, especially if they choose to come on the property journey with us.
Builders who will feature in coming months are:
Metricon HomeSolution on 20 August
Strive Homes – the irregular block specialist on 17 September ; and
Porter Davis on 15 October.
Ms Bloom says there is no need for buyers to book an appointment; they can simply come along on the night.
“I really encourage buyers interested in our ‘five-minute’ community at Mambourin to take advantage of the late-night opening time once-a-month, especially if there is a builder they are interested in talking with. Come and have a drink on us and find out what Mambourin is all about.;
Mambourin is located within the urban growth boundary of Melbourne’s expanding west, on the existing Regional Rail Link between Werribee and Wyndham Vale. The $440 million development will transform a 115-hectare land parcel into a thriving mixed-use community with city-style convenience that will be home to 3,500 residents.
Mambourin will offer an unparalleled level of connectivity and amenity, with plans for an exclusive residents’ club, a private school, a new train station, a major town centre, open space, library, kindergarten, a performing arts centre and a commercial business district – all positioned within a short walk from every resident’s door.
Plans for the Mambourin Town Centre include 25,000 sqm of retail floor space with a full-line supermarket, a discount department store, 30-40 specialty stores, a childcare centre and a cinema/entertainment precinct.
Construction of the first homes is expected to start early in 2020 and residents will be able to shop locally as early as 2022 when the first shops in the town centre retail precinct are expected to open.
There is no need to register for any of the late-night events, buyers can simply turn up to the Mambourin Discovery Centre sales office, located at 974 Black Forest Road, Wyndham Vale on any of the dates listed above.
