Ed.Square receives national award for Community Wellbeing & Diversity
Frasers Property Australia’s Ed.Square community in south-west Sydney has been named the national winner for Community Wellbeing & Diversity at the Planning Institute of Australia's National Awards for Planning Excellence.
The prestigious award recognises the project's success in fostering a connected and inclusive community, achieved through a dedicated partnership with its residents. The Ed.Square Residents Group has been a key partner in co-designing community programs that are meaningful, inclusive and reflective of the diverse lived experiences of the community.
Claire Palmer, Community Development Manager for Frasers Property Australia, accepted the award and credited the residents for the achievement.
"It is a genuine privilege to work alongside such a passionate and committed group of Ed.Square residents," said Ms. Palmer. "Together, we are not just delivering events or initiatives; we are building connection, belonging and long-lasting impact, not only within Ed.Square but across the broader South West Sydney community."
The award highlights a development model where community and belonging are central to project success.
"This award is a reflection of what’s possible when community belonging is at the heart of everything we do," Ms. Palmer added. "We’re excited to show what’s possible when property developers build trust and communities come together as true partners."
The successful collaboration at Ed.Square, supported by partners such as Fourfold Studio, serves as a benchmark for community-led development in Australia.
