  • Curated exhibition at Ed.Square formally opened by Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun
  • Residents and retailers share their stories of home, community and belonging
  • Bespoke photographic series set amongst iconic local landmarks
  • Exhibition on public display until 17 September

A unique new photographic collection both for and featuring the residents and retailers of Ed.Square, Frasers Property Australia’s game-changing masterplanned community in south-west Sydney, was unveiled by Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun last weekend.

Inspired by the community’s local landmarks, with a consistent creative background touch delivering a common element to every image, the Humans of Ed. Photo Exhibition features members of the Ed.Square community framed against local landmarks and popular amenities, including the central park, natural bushland, public artwork and the vibrant Town Centre.

The portrait and storytelling series, curated by creative agency Jasper Avenue, celebrates identity, diversity and connection in the growing Ed.Square community, with 30 images accompanied by the residents’ and retailers’ own stories of home, community and belonging.

Intended as a living photographic essay, one which will grow in step with the community itself as more residents join the over 1,500 already calling Ed.Square home, the exhibition was unveiled at a VIP opening night on Friday, 2 September.

Councillor Mannoun formally opened the exhibition at the Ed. Community Space within the vibrant Town Centre, joined by special guests as well as local business figures, public identities and members of the community.

Matt van Rijswijk, Development Director, Frasers Property Australia says the collection will reside within the Ed. Community Space as a fluid reminder and reinforcement of what it means to belong to the Ed.Square community.

“Communities are created for people, by people, and as much as the built form makes the physical spaces that shape lives, it’s the people who live and work at Ed.Square who create community,” says Mr van Rijswijk.

“This collection of photos pay homage to our residents and retailers as the creators of this dynamic, lively community, and will be continually updated to reflect the new faces and growing families in the months and years ahead.

[Potential to include a quote from Jasper Avenue about the significance of the common backdrop and their goals in curating the collection].

The Humans of Ed. Photo Exhibition will be open to the public on the following dates and times:

  • Sat 3rd September – 11am - 2:30pm
  • Tue 6th September – 10am – 1pm
  • Thursday 8th September – 2pm - 4:30pm
  • Thursday 15th September 2pm - 4:30pm
  • Saturday 17th Sept – 11am - 2:30pm

“Ed.Square is evolving to fulfil its potential to become south-west Sydney’s most significant new community, taking advantage of its integration with Edmondson Park train station, the new Town Centre and a host of lifestyle and recreational amenities, including the popular Eat Street dining precinct,” says Mr van Rijswijk.

“Around 1,500 people already call Ed.Square home and this collection is a living reminder of our gratitude to them. It’s an ongoing way of saying thanks.”

Ed. Square residents and Principals of creative agency Jasper Avenue, John Puah and Amanda Owen were also present on opening night.

“We’re really grateful for the opportunity as residents to be a part of Humans of Ed. The project has given us an opportunity to meet a great bunch of people and make some new friends along the way. We want everyone to know they are an important part of our community and we believe this project will help bring a sense of pride and belonging to everyone who calls Ed home,” says Ms Owen.

Among the properties currently on offer at Ed.Square are the final award-winning ‘mews’ style Brooklyn townhomes. The two- and three-bedroom ‘mews’ designs are unlike anything else in Sydney and will never be repeated within the Ed.Square community.

Ed.Square is a masterplanned community located in Sydney’s booming south-west growth corridor and has achieved a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. The 21st century Town Centre is integrated with 1,884 new homes in a mix of apartments, terraces and townhomes, as well as more than six hectares of open green space and cross-community links joining the regional parklands to the east and west.

The community is serviced by convenient bus and train links to Parramatta and Sydney CBD, with easy access to Sydney’s main roads and Western Sydney Airport. It is a 45-minute train journey from Edmondson Park railway station to Central Station.

Recently, Ed.Square Town Centre won the Excellence in Retail Development Award at the 2022 UDIA NSW Crown Group Awards for Excellence.

The Ed.Square Sales Centre and Display Village is open daily from 11am to 3pm. To register your interest or for more information, call Frasers Property on 13 38 38 or visit www.EdSquare.com.au.
