Another year of 100% carbon neutral energy

Real Utilities has maintained its Climate Active certification for the 2020-2021 reporting year.

The Climate Active program is administered by the Australian Government’s Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. To achieve certification, organisations must have credibly reached a state of achieving net zero emissions - carbon neutrality - and have no net negative impact on the climate.

The certification achievement is important because it re-confirms the carbon neutral status of Real Utilities and it means that, in supplying energy and embedded network services to its customers, the business continues to achieve net zero emissions.

Paolo Bevilacqua, General Manager, Real Utilities says the achievement is the basis of the company’s promise to customers.

“Working to uphold our carbon neutral status means we maintain our capacity to make a meaningful contribution to the decarbonisation strategies of our customers,” Mr Bevilacqua says.

“It also reinforces one of our major points of difference, as Climate Active certification is a powerful third-party acknowledgement our of achievement of net zero emissions in the energy we provide through local energy networks.”

Established in 2017 as the licensed energy retailing business of Frasers Property Australia, Real Utilities exists to provide 100% carbon neutral energy to customers across the residential, retail, commercial and industrial sectors, offering cheaper, greener, simpler energy solutions.
