Berwick Waters – Quarterly Update June 2026

30 June 2026
Berwick Waters

Dear residents and community members,

Welcome to our mid-year update.

The first six months of the year has seen some great progress on the green open spaces Berwick Waters is becoming known for.

The City of Casey’s Springleaf Avenue Recreation Reserve is open, with members of the community already enjoying its sporting fields, courts, pavilion, public art and playground.

The College Green Creek Conservation Reserve is also now complete. The reserve’s serene pathway connects north to south with a shelter, seating, picnic nodes and garden beds along the way. The Melbourne Water land adjacent to the creek will become habitat for the growling grass frogs which are native to the area.

In other great open space news, we recently received approval from Melbourne Water to start work within the wetlands along Moorside Crescent, which will include the delivery of two new pedestrian bridges. We’re working closely with our contractor on a schedule and will inform the community once we have a confirmed start date.

Elsewhere, the Mondous Island Wetlands works are underway, with a likely completion date of Q2 next year.

You will no doubt have noticed the final section of Honour Avenue between Macumba Drive and Soldiers Road is nearing completion. We’ve received the good news that Council has given the road its Statement of Compliance. The final step is for the road to be titled, which we expect will happen in coming weeks.

To better inform the community of the shape of our future proposed town centre precinct, we have updated the interactive masterplan on our website.

The new map shows the proposed medium density precincts and retail zones as well as the location of community facilities and future employment zone. You can find it HERE.

Our recurring Shaping Our Community Forums will get underway from August at Turrun Primary School.

The first session, Coffee Connect, will be held on Saturday, August 8 from 9am to 11am. This is an opportunity for residents to meet the Community Development Team to share ideas and hear about the variety of events, clubs and groups within Berwick Waters.

The Council Forum will be held on Monday, October 5 from 6pm to 7.30pm. This session will include representatives of the City of Casey who can inform and discuss with residents Council initiatives within Berwick Waters.

And the Development Update Forum will be held on Tuesday, December 1 from 6pm to 7.30pm. This session will connect residents with members of the Frasers Property Development Team to find out about the progress of various projects within our community.

If you would like to be involved or kept up to date about the dates and locations of the forums click on the link in the table below.

We look forward to seeing you at the sessions.

As always, if you have any questions or queries, please contact our Customer Care Team on 13 38 38.

The third and final section of the road was the responsibility of Circa Estate. They have now completed the road connections into Huckerby Drive, Anvil Way and Como Parade.
