Frasers Property Australia (Frasers Property) has secured a 10-year lease with Arlec Australia Pty Ltd (Arlec) for a new national distribution facility with an end value of circa $38 million in West Park Industrial Estate.

The 29,020 sqm facility, located on Andretti Court in Victoria’s Truganina suburb comprises of a 28,220 sqm warehouse, 800 sqm office and 100 car spaces.

The building will achieve a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built v1 certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.

Anthony Maugeri, General Manager, Southern Region Commercial & Industrial, for Frasers Property Australia comments, “Arlec relocated their national distribution centre to West Park Industrial Estate in 2011. The company is expanding rapidly and will be doubling their footprint in the new facility. We are very proud to again partner with Arlec. Our previous transaction with them was a significant factor in the company selecting Frasers Property for the most recent business deal.

“The 310-hectare estate is located in one of Australia’s fastest growing industrial areas and continues to experience low vacancy rates and strong levels of enquiry for high quality facilities over 10,000 sqm.”

An adjoining speculative building of 6,807 sqm is being developed concurrently with the Arlec facility. The two facilities are expected to be complete by March 2020.

West Park Industrial Estate has frontages to Mount Derrimut, Boundary and Robinsons Road. The site is located within one kilometre from Deer Park Bypass-Robinsons Road intersection which provides easy access to Melbourne’s western road network.

Some of the companies already residing in the estate include VISY, Australia Post, Austrans, Catch of the Day, CEVA Logistics, CEVA Nissan, Chep, CNP Group, DB Schenker, Denso, Fastline Logistics, Freight Specialists and Goodyear & Dunlop Tyres.

Nick Saunders and Hugh Gilbert from Colliers brokered the deal.
