Shell Cove Construction Update - Vela Apartments

As works progressed through March, the project continued to build strong momentum, with significant advancements across both internal apartment fit-out and external works.​

A key highlight for the month is the completion of the prototype apartment, which is now fully furnished. This milestone provides prospective purchasers with the opportunity to inspect and experience firsthand the premium finishes and overall quality that Vela has to offer. The prototype sets a clear benchmark for the level of detail and finish being delivered across the development.​

Internal apartment fit-out has advanced substantially, with kitchen joinery now reaching Level 4. Tiling to wet areas has also progressed to Level 4, marking a major step forward in apartment completion. On Level 1, carpet installation to bedrooms is underway, while timber flooring to living and dining areas has commenced, further enhancing the internal spaces as they continue to take shape.​

Works to common areas are progressing in parallel, with lobbies and shared spaces advancing steadily as finishes begin to come together.​

Within the basement, installation of storage cages is now largely complete, representing another important step toward finalising the building infrastructure and progressing the strata plan.​

Externally, the building façade continues to progress well. Sandstone cladding is now approximately 80% complete, with the remaining works focused on the eastern elevation of the South Tower, which is expected to be completed by late April. At ground level, courtyard planter boxes are largely complete and waterproofed, with soil placement and irrigation installation now underway.​

The pool shell has also been completed and is currently curing, with waterproofing and tiling works to follow.​

Overall, March has delivered strong progress across both internal and external works, with the development continuing to take shape as high-quality finishes are realised and key building elements reach completion.​
