Shell Cove Construction Update - Vela Apartments

As works progressed through April, the project continued to advance across apartment fit-out, the façade, basement, and external works, with a number of key milestones reached during the month.​

A notable highlight for the month is the lodgement of the strata plan with Land Registry Services (LRS). This is an important statutory milestone for the project, with the process now actively underway and on schedule.​

Internal apartment fit-out has continued to advance across both towers. Terrazzo tiling to the lobbies is underway with 50% of lobbies now complete, with balustrades soon to commence. Timber flooring is complete across the project, with carpet installation progressing through the upper levels. Stone has been progressively rolled out to allow bathroom fit-off to follow, and laundry installations have reached Level 4. Frasers' first round of quality assurance inspections, known as QA1, have commenced in both towers starting with Level 1 apartments - inspections will now continue systematically across the remaining levels.​

Within the basement, line marking and storage cage installation are complete. Plantroom commissioning has commenced and is tracking to schedule.​

Externally, sandstone cladding is nearing completion to the South Tower including the planter box walls. Fencing and balustrade works are in various stages of completion and landscape works are progressing, with foreshore shaping, planter box filling, and footpath subgrade preparation underway.​

The pool waterproofing membrane is complete and tiling has commenced. Other common property and leisure areas are progressing well.​

Overall, April has delivered solid progress across both internal and external works, with the development continuing to take shape as key milestones are reached and the project moves into its final stages of completion.​
