Heidelberg Ave Park Under Construction

16 September 2022

We are pleased to announce that our second park at Mambourin, Heidelberg Avenue Park, is under construction and progressing well.

The park is located in Stage 9 and will have many features for the families of Mambourin to enjoy, including swings, a hill-slide, nature play elements, climbable bee sculpture, walking paths, shelter, picnic tables and kick-about space.

Extensive gardens and plantings will frame the play areas featuring signature trees like Plane Trees, Flame Trees and Moreton Bay Fig Trees, which already feature in the Barrabool Blvd Park and Wetlands.

When Heidelberg Avenue Park opens in late 2022/early 2023, it will bring the total open space in the community to almost six hectares, after Barrabool Blvd Park and its surrounding wetlands and walking paths opened in mid-2021.

The existing Barrabool Blvd Park spans one hectare and offers a water play area, two large adventure towers, a rebound and climbing wall, adventure maze with multiple swings, kick-about zone, full-size basketball/netball court and an adjoining skate park.

When complete, 7 kilometres of walking trails and cycling paths will weave through and inter-connect the Mambourin community.

Penny Dabner, Development Director, Frasers Property Australia says the open spaces at Mambourin are part of an integrated design approach to create a healthy outdoor lifestyle for residents.
“Mambourin is designed to be highly pedestrian and cycle friendly, with ample off-road and shared paths allowing easy movement to our parks and throughout the future town centre,” says Ms Dabner.

Mambourin is a certified 6 Star Green Star community according to the Green Building Council of Australia, which is the highest rating possible and represents world leadership in sustainable communities.
