Residents of Mambourin and surrounding communities will benefit from a significant public transport upgrade, with the launch of the new Route 194 bus service from Saturday 7 December.

Route 194 will operate on a 20-minute frequency during peak times, providing a direct connection from Wyndham Vale, Mambourin and Harpley to Wyndham Vale Station. The new route will also be the first in the area to deliver direct access to Walcom Ngarrwa Secondary College, connecting more than 6,900 residents in Mambourin and nearby communities.

Further improvements include nearly 400 additional weekly services added to Route 153, alongside extended operating hours. These enhancements will improve access to key destinations including the new Wyndham Law Courts, Werribee Hospital, and both the University of Melbourne and Victoria University Werribee campuses.

The upgrades build on the introduction of 470 extra bus services rolled out across Wyndham in July, which strengthened routes 170, 180, 190 and 192.

Local MPs welcomed the improvements, with Tarneit MP Dylan Wight and Laverton MP Sarah Connolly highlighting the benefits for residents in Wyndham’s fast-growing northern communities.
