Quarterly Update - September 2025
Dear residents and community members,
As we approach the final months of the year, it’s time to let you know what’s been happening, and what’s coming up, in our community.
Of course, the biggest news is the exciting opening of Mambourin Marketplace. This vibrant new hub opened on September 18 with a smoking ceremony by Wadawurrung woman Melinda Kennedy and welcome speeches from Frasers Property CEO Cam Leggatt, Member for Werribee John Lister, Wyndham City Council mayor Mia Shaw and Craig Gathercole, the director of builder Maben. The event was capped off with a performance by the Good News Lutheran College choir.
Inside the first shoppers explored the new full-line Coles supermarket, butcher, fruit and vegetable store, pharmacy, gym, beauty services and variety of restaurants while outside the kids enjoyed the new playground overlooked by local Indigenous artist Chloe Chatterton’s incredible mural, Woven Through Country.
It was great to hear the happy noise of children playing as the opening ceremony took place.
We’re proud to share that 100 per cent of the retail spaces at the centre have been leased, and while not every shop was ready for opening day, you will see more and more opening for business in coming days and weeks.
Outside of Mambourin Marketplace, we have welcomed new business Sweet India, next to KFC and Aspire Early Learning.
There are still some civil works going on in the Town Centre with work recently commencing on new road Rail Circuit, which will connect the centre with the future train station.
Elsewhere, you will soon see construction begin on townhomes in Medium Density Precinct 2, with civil works already underway on Medium Density Precinct 3. We expect this construction activity to be complete by Q3 of next year.
As always, we have a full program of events at Mambourin, designed to help new and existing residents make friends and connections. Our very first Diwali celebration will be held on October 11 at the Discovery Centre. This special event will bring families, friends and neighbours together to share in vibrant traditions and create new memories, with entertainment for all ages, including traditional Bollywood dancers, henna art, music, and a special appearance from Eesha the elephant!
For more information on this and other events follow us here on the My Mambourin Facebook page or sign up for updates on our website.
As usual we will continue to update residents via email and keep the community engaged via Facebook. If you live outside Mambourin but would like to receive updates by email, please sign up at frasersproperty.com.au/VIC/Mambourin/Contact or contact us on 13 38 38.
We hope to see you at one of our upcoming community events soon.
